caribBEING Partners with Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams to Celebrate Caribbean Film, Art, and Culture in celebration of Caribbean Heritage Month. The event will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, at the Brooklyn Borough Hall Community Room, 209 Joralemon Street in Brooklyn, New York.

caribBEING and Brooklyn Borough Hall invites you to explore a day of Caribbean culture filled with film. Screenings will include, “Missing Melodie” a Caribbean short about a young girl’s migration from Jamaica to the United States; followed by, “Project 2×1” a cross cultural Google Glass documentary that explores the distinctive Hasidic and West Indian communities.

caribBEING is a Brooklyn based non-profit whose mission is to build community through the lens of Caribbean art, film and culture, with a special focus on programming and events that reflect the diversity and creativity of the Caribbean Diaspora in, and around, the New York metro area.
