UK-based filmmaker Richard Etienne (Maven Pictures) embarked on a project to explore his identity, hence the working title The iD Project. The director hope this documentary will educate people, particularly young people, about they have: the beauty and rich cultural heritage of Dominica. [See previous post Film in Progress: “iD – my Dominica Story”.] The iD Project will be released this summer (2014).
In the very informative and entertaining 5-minute snippet below—Is Dominica Boring?—Etienne asks, “Dominica is a small Caribbean island, so what can it truly offer to a guy from a big city like me?” Watch what some of Dominica’s most influential voices had to say.
Here’s the clip:
Film Description: Travel to the nature-rich island of Dominica to follow a young man’s virgin quest to discover the identity and beauty of his deceased fathers’ birthplace and of a legacy for future generations.
