Daniel Lind at Puerto Rico’s Museum of Contemporary Art

Our most heartfelt congratulations to Daniel Lind Ramos. Puerto Rico’s Museum of Contemporary Art [Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, MAC] has just purchased two of his recent works from the assemblage series, “De pie” [see previous post Art Exhibition: Daniel Lind’s “De pie”]. The two pieces that will now be part of the MAC’s are “Relicario” and “Sagrario de la Maza” (shown above).

Born in Loíza, Puerto Rico, Daniel Lind Ramos, holds a B.A. in art from the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras and an M.A. from New York University. He currently teaches at the Humanities Department, University of Puerto Rico-Humacao. Lind was the first Puerto Rican artist to receive the Arana Foundation scholarship to attend the workshops of Alfonso Arana and Antonio Seguí at the Paris Fine Arts School in France. Among his many awards, he received the First Prize of the Val D’or de Hyeres Salon, in South France, (1990), and the Delegation Prize of the International Salon of Latin American Plastic Arts in Meillant, France (2000).
