The launching of Food, Power, Exchange and Identity: Food and Foodstuffs in the French and Francophone Worlds, a three-year interdisciplinary seminar organized by the Henri Peyre French Institute, will take place on February 28, 2014, at 5:00-6:00pm, at the French / Urban Ed lounge at The Graduate Center, CUNY (located at 365 Fifth Avenue) in New York.

The seminar launch will include a presentation of the Site and Seminar Themes, and of the upcoming online exhibit “Street Fairs and Street Food in the Nineteenth and early Twentieth Centuries.”
