TEOR/éTica and Lado V invite emerging artists from the Central American and Caribbean (archipelago) region to present proposals for the production of new work.
They are particularly interested in experimental projects based on research processes, be it in terms of form, material, space, the body, context and/or historical and theoretical matters. All types of visual and/or process media will be taken into consideration. Two projects will be selected for 2014.
The call for submissions is intended for emerging artists* that reside within the Central American and Caribbean (archipelago) region, who are in need of support to produce and exhibit new work.
[*There is no age limit. The grant aims to encourage voices with little visibility within the regional artistic circle.]
Closing date for applications: February 16, 2014
Selected projects announced: March 17, 2014
Exhibition dates: July and October 2014, in TEOR/éTica’s Lado V
Lado V includes a research center, a garden, and a small museum of contemporary art, founded in 2008 by Costa Rican curator, Virginia Pérez-Ratton.
