Jacques Schwarz-Bart (Guadeloupe) will be at the Lyon Opéra (France) from January 15 to 18, 2014, where he will present a series of concerts and the repertoire of his new Jazz Racine Haiti project.
For opening night, Schwarz-Bart will play in duo with clarinetist Denis Colin (January 15, 12:30pm). The next day (January 16, 8:00pm), he will perform with pianist Éric Legnini, whose work has evolved in the past several years as an afro-beat project.
On January 17 (12:30pm), Schwarz-Bart will first play solo, before unveiling the evening repertoire of Jazz Racine Haïti. The evening performance will include Moonlight Benjamin (vocals), Claude Saturn (Vaudou percussion), Alex Tassel (bugle), Gregory Privat (piano), Reggie Washington (bass), and Sonny Troupé (drums) (January 17, 8:30pm).
Finally, he will close the event with a trio performance, inviting the New York guitar prodigy Nir Felder. For the occasion, Schwarz-Bart has invited the equally phenomenal drummer Arnaud Dolmen (January 18, 8:30pm).
