Jamaica Hits 2 Million Stopover Visitors


In just two days, for the first time in a single year, Jamaica is expected to welcome two million stopover visitors to the island. The two-millionth visitor is scheduled to arrive on American Airlines Flight 380 out of Miami, Florida. The Tourism Ministry has planned a high-level reception for the visitor on Sunday.

Minister of Tourism and Entertainment Dr Wykeham McNeill, Director of Tourism John Lynch and Mayor of Montego Bay Glendon Harris are all expected to be part of the welcome party at the arrival gate at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, to mark the milestone.
