The Critical Caribbean Symposium Series Celebrates the Life and Work of Kamau Brathwaite

brathwaiteThe Critical Caribbean Symposium Series presents “A Splice of Space and Time: Celebrating the Life and Work of Kamau Brathwaite” to be held on November 22 and 23, 2013, at the Harry C. Moore Library and Information Centre at The College of The Bahamas in Nassau.

The keynote address—“Kamau Brathwaite’s Paradigm Shifts: Critical Consciousness in History, Poetry and Cultural Analysis”—will be delivered by Elaine Savory (The New School, New York).

The symposium will also include L’Acadc—a United Caribbean Dance Force (Jamaica’s premier dance company); their performance is inspired by the work of Kamau Brathwaite.
