ART OFF the MAIN is a special exhibition of African American, African and Caribbean art for the 2013 edition of the Contemporary Art Fair NYC, which will be held at the Javits Convention Center, New York, on October 25-27, 2013. Jamaican artist Tamara Natalie Madden [whose work is shown above] is part of the group of Caribbean exhibitors:

ART OFF the MAIN, the trend-setting art fair, is a vehicle to present affordable art by emerging and established artists from regions and cultures that have traditionally been underrepresented in other art fairs. After five years at the Puck Building and the Metropolitan Pavilion, followed two years in an online format, ART OFF the MAIN returns to fill the void on the Black art scene. Although, not yet back as a stand alone fair, this collaboration with the Contemporary Art Fair is a significant step forward. The Contemporary Art Fair in its 4th year has become one of the highlights of New York’s Fall art season.

The ART OFF the MAIN curated exhibition will showcase works by over 30 African American, African and Caribbean artists. Collaborating with ART OFF the MAIN to present this exhibition are:

Avisca Fine Art
Paul Blackwood Studios
Michael Bradley Fine Art
Michael Brown
D. Lammie- Hanson Art
Jean Icart-Pierre
Spence Gallery
Stuart McLean Fine Arts
Zim Gallery
Savacou Gallery
