The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will host its 2013 Lionfish Summit on October 22-24, 2013, in Cocoa Beach, Florida.
The 2013 FWC Lionfish Summit is a unique opportunity for the research community, resource current management efforts, and the public to identify alternative management and control strategies and to review ongoing research efforts, identify research gaps, and review challenges.
Besides sessions on various themes related to lionfish the situation, researchers will showcase their lionfish projects. At least six research projects will be selected for full presentation during a research session. Research projects that are not selected for full presentations will have the opportunity to participate in a poster session to be held on the first day of the summit, Tuesday, October 22.
A block of rooms is being held at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront until September 26.
