New Film: Mariel Brown’s “Smallman—The World My Father Made”

Savant announces the premiere screening of the new documentary short directed by Mariel Brown—Smallman: The World My Father Made at the 2013 Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival. The film will be screened on Friday, September 20, 5:30pm, at Little Carib; and Thursday, September 26, 1:00pm at Movie Towne in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Described as a gem of a short film about an ordinary gentleman called JK Rawlins, Smallman: The World My Father Made shows Richard Mark Rawlins’ personal exploration of the real and imagined worlds that his father, Kenwyn, made, in the tiny workshop beneath their house.
