CALL FOR PAPERS
The Afro-Hispanic Review calls for contributions to a special issue of
the journal focusing on Hispaniola.
They welcome the submission of all articles discussing either Haiti or the Dominican Republic and their respective national literatures or articles highlighting the transborder and binational relations between the two countries. They also welcome papers on the Dominican and Haitian literary production
in the U.S. and diaspora at large.
Deadline for submissions is January 1, 2014.
Guidelines: Articles should be prepared in compliance with the requirements established by the MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing, 3rd edition (2008). Manuscripts should consist of approximately 6,000 words of text. The Afro-Hispanic Review is moving towards a paper-free review process; therefore, we require an electronic copy of all submissions. (Please email if you prefer to send a hard copy as well.) All manuscripts are anonymously refereed; therefore, the manuscripts should contain no obvious reference to the author, though the author’s name, address, telephone number, and email address should be included on a separate title page. A current subscription to the journal is required before the manuscript undergoes the review process. Manuscripts may be submitted in Spanish or English.
Please send submissions to email@example.com for consideration.
