Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt reclaimed the 100-meter world title on Sunday during the IAAF World Championships in Moscow. Running in the rain, he clocked 9.77 seconds. American runner-up Justin Gatlin ran a 9,85 and Jamaican Nesta Carter finished third in 9.95 seconds.
After the win, Bolt seemed relatively subdued during his victory jog in front of the cheering crowd. Only after the audience apparently egged him on did he assume his signature lightning-bolt pose. This time, though, the weather beat him to the punch. A photo taken just after the finish shows lightning in the sky that appears to mark the runner’s triumph.
