Kei Miller Selected as the Rex Nettleford Fellow in Cultural Studies

ARC Magazine announces that Dr. Kei Miller has been selected as the 2013 Rex Nettleford Fellow in Cultural Studies by the Rhodes Trust. We extend our congratulations!

Dr. Kei Miller, a noted Jamaican poet, was selected from a field of three (3) candidates on July 12, last by a Selection Committee comprised of Professor The Hon. Mervyn Morris O.M (Jamaican Rhodes Scholar), Professor Evelyn O’Callaghan (first female Jamaican Rhodes Scholar), Dr. Sonja Stanley-Niaoh (first recipient of the Rex Nettleford Fellowship in 2004) and Mr. Peter Goldson, (Jamaica Rhodes Scholar and Jamaica and Caribbean Secretary to the Rhodes Trust.

The Fellowship was established by the Rhodes Trust to mark the centenary of the Rhodes Scholarships in the Caribbean in 2004 and to honour the distinguished contribution of the late Professor the Honourable Rex Nettleford O.M. to higher education and to the cultural life of the Caribbean.
