Executive Director of Haiti Cultural Exchange Régine M. Roumain announces the Mizik Ayiti! Concert Series and the upcoming performance by Tit Pascal and Talie Cerin on Saturday, July 20, 2013, from 6:00 until 10:00pm at the FiveMyles Gallery (558 St Johns Place Brooklyn, New York).
Description:
Tit Pascal is a renowned guitarist and longtime arranger, composer, writer, and producer who has worked with many of Haiti’s leading figures in jazz music. Since beginning his musical career in Haiti as a teen, he has led his own groups: Les 6 As de Petion-Ville, the first Ibo Combo ensemble (Ibo Lele), and his first Jazz Quartet.
Talie Cerin is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Haiti. Her music addresses social issues, life experiences, and the love she carries for her beloved homeland. Her unique Kreyòl Soul style is an acoustic musical blend with neo-soul and Haitian folk influences.
