Haiti Cultural Exchange (HCX) presents a talk and book signing with Nathalie Brunet, author of Haiti from Below, and Régine Zamor (Ayiti Nexus) on Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 6:00 until 9:00pm. The event takes place at the Five Myles Gallery, located at 558 St. Johns Place in Brooklyn, New York.
Haiti from Below, a book by Nathalie Brunet and Nick Hobgood, captures the colorful underwater life along the northern coast of Haiti in over 100 stunning photos and information about Haiti’s diverse and fragile natural reefs. Haiti from Below’s author Nathalie Brunet and fellow co-owner of Ayiti Nexus, Régine Zamor, will talk about Haiti from Below and environmentally conscious development in Haiti.
Ayiti Nexus is a consulting firm with offices in Port-au-Prince and Cap Haitien, offering strategic development services to an array of clients who are conscious of promoting sustainable development in Haiti. Haiti from Below is the first public awareness tool created by Ayiti Nexus.
Nick Hobgood, the featured photographer in Haiti From Below, is unable to join in the conversation this evening. See some of his marine life photography here.
Haiti from Below will be on sale at this event for $50. 20% of proceeds will be donated to Haiti Cultural Exchange. Seating is limited. Email RSVP@haiticulturalx.org with “Haiti from Below” in the subject line and names of guests to reserve your space.
