The Barbadian beauty Rihanna has been named Britain’s most influential pop star by British music TV station 4music (http://www.4music.com).

4music’s ‘Pop Power List’ was based on stats compiled by Media Measurement that consider social media reach, critical recognition, airplay, endorsements and media coverage of the 50 most powerful pop stars. Beyonce fell in second place behind Rihanna. Boy band One Direction bagged third, Katie Perry landed at number four, and Justin Bieber rounded out the top five. Last year’s winner was Adele who secured a place in the Top 10 this year.
