The conference Revisiting Images and Identities: 30 Years of Puerto Rican Literature will take place on Friday, April 12, 2013, from 9:00am to 6:00pm) at the Multipurpose Room, 2nd Floor of the Paul Robeson Campus Center at Rutgers University-Newark. Rutgers University-Newark is located at 350 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Newark, New Jersey. This conference is free and open to the public.
Organized by Rutgers-Newark-New Brunswick Caribbean Studies Dialogues, this one-day conference commemorates a previous conference “Images and Identities: The Puerto Rican in Literature,” held in April 1983. The keynote speakers are Magali García Ramis and Ana Celia Zentella. Other speakers include Aravind Adyanthaya, Pedro Cabiya, Mariposa María Teresa Fernández, Marisel Moreno, Urayoán Noel, and Rubén Ríos Ávila.
