“Arts en Pointes” to Benefit Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida will host a preview reception to celebrate the second edition of Arts en Pointes on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The silent auction takes place on Saturday, February 23, 2013, 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A special cocktail reception with live entertainment will take place to celebrate this special event that will be open to the public free of charge. The exhibition, curated by Francine Rozencwaig, will be on view at the Caridi Gallery, located at 785 NE 125th Street (directly across the Museum of Contemporary Art) in North Miami, Florida.

Description: Over thirty artists participated in this special project, using ballet shoes to create one-of-a-kind works that will be auctioned to benefit the dance company’s programs. Local and international artists—including Mirna Salamanques, Liliana Gerardi, Jorge Dager, Nestor Paz, Claire Prince, Alicia Erminy, Al Blanco, Clara Poupel, Jane Bazinet, Aguasanta Erminy, Eduardo Caridi, Ibrahim Guerra, Kate McCavitt, Terry Ritter, Corine Wakeland, Gregg Rivero, Lauramar Yee, Beatriz Sanchez, Monica Mercedes, Wendy Starling, Daniel Mendez, Cynthis Hernandez, Orlando Urdaneta, Patricia Garcia, Ana Maria Leonardi, Carlos Tirado, Cesar Murillo, Sonia Angel, Pilar, Batlle, Luis Andarcia, and Sandra del Valle— generously donated the beautiful pieces that will be auctioned.
