The 20th Annual Providence Latin American Film Festival (PLAFF) will take place on September 27-30, 2012, at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Auditorium in Providence, Rhode Island.
PLAFF promotes Latin American, Hispanic, and Portuguese cultures and heritage through the art of cinematography, presenting high quality films together with panel discussions and juried film awards. This year, PLAFF 2012 will show two Dominican films: La lucha de Ana [Anna’s Struggle, 2012] by Bladimir Abud [previous post New Film: Bladimir Abud’s “La lucha de Ana”] and Pelotero (Ballplayer, 2011) by co-directors Ross Finkel, Trevor Martin and Jon Paley (Guagua Productions).
