Barbados film producer Lisa Harewood (Gate House Films) has been chosen as one of ReelWorld’s Emerging 20 Filmmakers:
Description: In late August, the chosen Emerging 20 (E20s) are coached on the art of story pitching and story development, how to market and distribute their projects and how to present themselves. During Toronto’s largest film week, ReelWorld creates two days of networking and mentoring at the annual Indie Film Lounge, beginning with the invite only networking reception. The next day they have intensive face-to-face meetings with industry mentors before learning more about the industry at the IFL Telefilm Case Study and the Kodak industry panel.
ReelWorld encompasses two distinct yet complimentary entities: an annual spring film festival and a charitable foundation. The multi-faceted organization shares one vision – to change the face of Canadian cinema both on the screens and behind the scenes. ReelWorld promotes and fosters racially and culturally diverse artists who are emerging within the film industry.
