Casa de los Contrafuertes Lecture: Héctor Pérez Babilonia

Tonight (August 9, 2012) at 7:00pm, Colección Maravilla presents Héctor Pérez Babilonia, who will discuss his literary work at Casa de los Contrafuertes in Old San Juan tomorrow evening. This activity will take place at the <I>ndependientes Lecture Room at Casa de los Contrafuertes, located at the corner of San Sebastián and San José Streets in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The author will discuss his narrative, visual poetry, and performance. Pérez Babilonia will present his new psychotropic novel Hongo Negro TV [Black Mushroom TV], published by Colección Maravilla. He will also show a trailer of his forthcoming graphic novel, Los libros de Estigia: lo fatal, illustrated by Teo Freytes. At the end of the evening, there will also be a performance inspired by the novel, by the group Sin-Nombre [No-Name], directed by Raúl Reyes.

Héctor Pérez Babilonia (Ponce, Puerto Rico; 1982) is a poet, storyteller, performance artist, and writer. He is currently a candidate for an MA in Puerto Rican and Caribbean Literature at the Center for Advanced Studies of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
