The Board of Directors of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico (MAC), and its Executive Director Marianne Ramírez Aponte, invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Fever: Tropical Nostalgias and Urban Anxieties in Sofia Maldonado.” Curated by guest curator Carlo McCormick, the exhibition opens on June 28, 2012, from 7:00 to 10:00pm at the Julio Rosado del Valle Room at the MAC in Santurce, Puerto Rico. There will be an after party with DJ Nature from 9:00pm to 12 midnight.

Carlo McCormick writes: “Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from a mixed Cuban and Puerto Rican heritage, and currently dividing her time between San Juan and New York City, Sofia Maldonado’s unique vision issues from the inherent complexities of her identity as well as the energies of the youth cultures that have informed her creative practice…”
