Trinidad and Tobago to make special arrangements for Mecca pilgrims

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago is making special flight arrangements for Muslim pilgrims traveling to Mecca this year, a government source said today. This morning Minister of Transport Devant Maharaj hosted a news conference to announce plans for Muslims to visit Mecca by Caribbean Airlines Ltd.
Hajj, an important pilgrimage that Muslims take to Saudi Arabia this year is estimated to be around October 24-29, 2012. Every year, more than enough Muslims to fill an airplane from Trinidad and Tobago make the journey.
The planes will also have to be made free of alcohol.
