Many people are gearing up for Ride for Hope Bahamas 2012, a fundraising event to be held on Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, 2012, in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera (The Bahamas).
Eleuthera is a spectacular island 45 miles east of New Providence. Here, all riders will begin and end in Governor’s Harbour. The ride itself includes a variety of difficulty levels: some sections are hilly and others are flat or rolling.
Ride for Hope Bahamas, a registered Charity in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, was formally constituted in 2009. It was established for the purpose of raising money to support initiatives related to health, wellness and human development in The Bahamas. The organization’s flagship fund raiser is “The Ride for Hope” – now a seven year old bike-a-thon held each Spring on the island of Eleuthera. Without exception, every dollar raised by participants is applied to programme support. Each mile pedaled translates into dollars that will be donated to cancer caring centers and cancer treatment programs.
