Trinidadian author, activist and lecturer Merle Hodge will present “Caribbean Literature and the Journey to Peoplehood” at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. The lecture will take place in Textor 102, Ithaca College, in Ithaca, New York. Her free lecture is part of the college’s Caribbean Culture Week.
Hodge has written two novels and published several short stories for children, and essays and articles on Caribbean family, language, women’s issues and education.
The Caribbean Students Association at Ithaca College annually hosts Caribbean Culture Week, a weeklong series of events that serves to educate and to bring awareness of Caribbean culture to the Ithaca community.
