Noel Coward’s Caribbean-set ‘Volcano’ to tour UK

Jenny Seagrove is to star in the national tour of Volcano, which marks the first major production of Noel Coward’s play, Natalie Woolman reports in The Stage.

Volcano was never performed during Coward’s lifetime and is set on a Caribbean island. Seagrove will be joined by Wild at Heart actress Dawn Steele and Jason Durr, who has appeared in Heartbeat and Above Suspicion. The cast also includes Finty Williams, Perdita Avery, Robin Sebastian and Tim Daish.

The production is to tour nationwide, beginning at the Theatre Royal, Windsor on May 21, prior to an anticipated West End run. Roy Marsden is to direct.

Volcano is produced by Thelma Holt and Bill Kenwright.
