ICS Lectures: “Transcolonial Fanon, Trajectories of a Revolutionary Politics” and “From Discourse on Colonization to Decolonization”

As part of its Conferencias Caribeñas 10 lecture series for January-May 2012, the Institute of Caribbean Studies of the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras (UPR-RP), invites the academic community and the general public to the lectures “Transcolonial Fanon: Trajectories of a Revolutionary Politics” by Mireille Fanon (President of the Frantz Fanon Foundation) and “Del discurso sobre la colonización a la descolonización: trayectorias filosóficas, teóricas y políticas a partir de Césaire y Fanon” [From Discourse on Colonization to Decolonization: Philosophical, Theoretical and Political Trajectories of Césaire and Fanon] by Dr. Nelson Maldonado Torres (Department of Comparative Literature, Rutgers University/Association of Caribbean Philosophy).

This lecture will take place on Thursday, March 1, from 1:00 to 3:30pm in Amphitheatre Manuel Maldonado Denis (CRA 108) of the Carmen Rivera de Alvarado (CRA) Building, School of Social Sciences, UPR-RP.
