Art Exhibition: Toby Lunn’s “Homa Fire Ceremony”

Bahamian artist Toby Lunn announces “Homa Fire Ceremony,” a house studio exhibition. The studio is located off Village Road in Nassau, The Bahamas (directions are on the flier above). The opening takes place tonight, Wednesday, January 25, 2012, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

Toby Lunn was born in 1972, in Nassau, The Bahamas. He is an abstract oil painter who “draws from the rhythms of nature for inspiration.” He received an AA from The College of The Bahamas and a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art. As an abstract artist, Lunn is influenced heavily by Pollock, Hoffman, Frankenthaler, and Joan Mitchell. His work, however, has a clear rooting in the island landscape that is his home.
