Art Exhibition: “Imaginings” of 22 U.S. Photographers in Cuba

The Cuban Art Space is sponsoring the art exhibition “Imaginings” of 22 U.S. Photographers. The exhibit will be up January 6-20, 2012 at the Center for Cuban Studies/Cuban Art Space. A reception will take place next Thursday, January 12 from 6:00-8:00pm.

In the fall of 2011 the Professional Women Photographers organization sponsored two photo trips to Cuba for U.S. citizens. Each excursion, a week long, focused on Havana, Trinidad, and Cienfuegos with ample time for the photographer participants to capture the essence of the island. On exhibit are the images from twenty-two of the participants.

The Center for Cuban Studies/Cuban Art Space is located at 231 W. 29th Street #401, in New York, New York.

  1. Am sorry that I missed this exhibition, would have loved to have seen it. However, I am not in the U.S.
Is there a possibility that you will be placing the photographs up on your blog?
I have a special interest in the city of Havana, one of the most marvelous cities I have visited many times. Would love to see these visions of Havana. Thanks, Ateneo.
