Puerto Rican singer Marc Anthony—who has been better known lately for his much commented divorce from Jennifer Lopez—recently traveled to the Dominican Republic. Part of his trip included a stop at a local orphanage, Niños de Cristo, to spend some time with the city’s disadvantaged children. The orphanage houses 140 girls and 43 boys—mostly children who have been victims of domestic violence and other types of abuse.
Newspapers have been gushing about Anthony’s generosity, as he treated his staff to an all-expenses paid trip to an exclusive resort in La Romana, in the Dominican southeast, to celebrate the holidays. The singer flew 14 members of his personnel to a five-day vacation to show his appreciation for their efforts on his behalf.
