As part of “Migration,” the Campus Themes lecture series at the College of the Bahamas in Nassau, Dr. Ian Bethell Bennett(School of English Studies) will deliver a lecture based on his ongoing research. Dr. Bethell Bennett’s presentation, the first lecture in the series, is entitled “Economy, Migration, and Identity: Late Capitalist Reactions against Haitians and the Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME) in the Bahamas.” This presentation takes place today, October 5, 2011, at 12:00 noon at the Harry C. Moore Library and Information Centre in Nassau, the Bahamas.
Ian Bethell Bennett is assistant professor of English Literature at the College of the Bahamas. He specializes in Cultural Studies, Caribbean literature, and literature of the British Commonwealth. He holds a PhD in English from the University of Warwick and a degree in International Trade Policy from the University of the West Indies-Cave Hill, Barbados.
