As part of Trove’s Deptford X Program, Blue Curry’s latest exhibition is now on view until October 2, 2011, at the Salvation Army shop located at 144 Deptford High Street, London. This show was curated by Hew Locke and Indra Khanna. Works will be on sale in the shop on Saturday, October 1.
Trove describes: “Blue Curry creates hybrid works that float ambiguously between the ethnographic find, the souvenir and the contemporary art form. His simple and idiosyncratic objects will be sited in a local charity shop, setting up an interesting challenge for both viewers and customers.”
Blue Curry (Nassau, Bahamas, 1974) is a visual artist who works in London and Nassau. He holds a BS in business and Spanish literature and language from Skidmore College, a BA in photography and multimedia from the University of Westminster, and an MFA in fine arts from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
