The Board of Directors and the Executive Director of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture invite you to the presentation of La novelabingo (1976) by Manuel Ramos Otero. The presentation will be delivered by literary critic Rubén Ríos Ávila and writer Ana Lydia Vega on Friday, October 7, 2011, at 7:00pm. The presentation will take place at the Southern Courtyard (Patio Interior Sur) of the Puerto Rican Institute of Culture headquarters in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Manuel Ramos Otero (1948-1990) was born in Manatí, Puerto Rico. He studied social sciences and sociology at the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras and completed an MA in literature at New York University. He taught at Rutgers University, La Guardia Community College, York College, and Lehman College. He is the author of Concierto de metal para un recuerdo y otras orgías de soledad (1971), El cuento de la Mujer del Mar (1979), El libro de la muerte (1985), Página en blanco y staccato (1987), Invitación al polvo (1991), and Cuentos de buena tinta (1992).
