Barbados’ Nation News reports on Barbadian all-rounder Deandra Dottin, who also holds the world record for the fastest century by a male or female cricketer. Bajans are cheering her on as she took apart St Lucia’s bowling in the West Indies’ women’s cricket tournament.
Playing at the mecca of cricket, Kensington Oval, Dottin scored a massive 139, as Barbados piled up a whopping 325, en route to a comfortable 267-run victory to maintain their unbeaten record in the competition.
Barbados’ bowlers also impressed, as Shaquana Quintyne and Kelia Elliot took four and three wickets respectively, in routing their opponents for just 58. The win vaulted Barbados into today’s semi-finals against arch-rivals Jamaica at the same venue.
