It has been one year since the devastating earthquake that destroyed Port-au-Prince and left almost 300,000 people dead and nearly two million without home or shelter. That news, tragic as it was, was followed by even more painful news for the Haitian people, which included a cholera outbreak, an election fiasco, and political violence. Promised aid has not materialized, and the world seems indifferent to the continued plight of the population of Port-au-Prince.
