Seaborne announced enhanced service to San Juan market with daily shuttle flights to and from St. Croix, St. Thomas, and Vieques directly to San Juan International Airport (SJU). Seaborne has service to and from Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Flights will begin on January 12, 2011, now flying into two locations in San Juan.
Seaborne Airlines has been serving San Juan for 10 years through the Isla Grande Airport, but with their new flights to SJU, it adds so many more options for Virgin Islanders to fly through San Juan International to other parts of the Caribbean, U.S., South America and Europe.
As Go to St. Croix’s Katie points out, “this opens up a whole new world of flight options for VI residents, as San Juan offers flights on carriers that don’t come to the Virgin Islands such as Jet Blue and Spirit Airlines. [. . .] Seaborne will still offer service to Isla Grande Friday to Monday and is perfect for weekend trips to Puerto Rico. This smaller airport is super convenient to San Juan so you can be exploring Old San Juan within an hour of leaving St. Croix!”
