On Thursday, December 30, 2010, the Puerto Rican rock group Campo-Formio will launch its third record, “Spooky Fools,” at La Respuesta. The club is located at 1600 Fernandez Juncos Avenue (corner of Del Parque Street) in Santurce, Puerto Rico. The doors will open at 9:00pm and the activity starts with the first band at 10:30pm. Performing groups at the launch will be Los Petardos!), Unidos NO, Tach.dé, and Campo-Formio.
This third production by Campo-Formio is a 10″ 45rpm vinyl record, in a color, Gold Limited Edition. It also includes a card with the digital download. The first 100 people that buy the record will receive an additional CD. This album contains 4 different songs that are representative of sound that the group has succeeded in forging, which define the musical style of Campo-Formio.
Spooky Fools was recorded at the Dorado Recording Studio, mixing/mastering by Héctor “StoneTape” Hernández, prepared for vinyl in Portland (OR) by Lucky Laquers’ Dave. The cover art for the record was created by artist Javier Román. This album will be released under the newly formed record label, Dead Mofongo Records, a small record label created by members of Campo-Formio. Don’t miss this erotic party full of fury, sweat, and lack of control. Campo-Formio supports the resurgence of vinyl and cassette formats; some island groups producing vinyl records are Tropiezo, La Virgen del Pozo, Golpe Justo, Lopodrido, Napolnariz, La Fundación, Dávila 666.
The entrance fee is $10 with the vinyl record and digital download and $7 without the record.
