Chronicle of a Catastrophe Foretold: Documentary Film on Haiti

Movie buffs at the Latin American and Caribbean Film Festival in Helsinki, Finland, were shown how a devastating earthquake in Haiti affected the lives of thousands of people.

The film “Chronicle of a Catastrophe Foretold”, produced by Haitian film producer Arnold Antonin depicts the lives of Haitian people in the aftermath of the earthquake in January that lasted for about 35 seconds and killed 300,000 people.

The film shows the anguish caused by the 7.3-magnitude earthquake, which left thousands homeless in the impoverished country.
