Photographers from Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic will attend Photoimagen 2010, to be held in different venues in Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, and Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. The guest country this year will be Spain.
The event, organized by Mayra Johnson with the support of the Ministry of Culture, will include more than 30 solo and collective photography exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and other related activities throughout the entire month of September.
Participating photographers/artists include José Antigua, José Antonio Arias, Rafael Bello Camacho, Guadalupe Casasnovas, Juan De Los Santos, Marvin del Cid, Pedro Farías Nardi, Marcelo Ferder, Francisco Fortunato, Carmela García, Amparo Garrido, Maria Clara Gaviria, Germán Gómez, Alí Hanoon, Rodolfo Henríquez, Mariano Hernández, Germán Herrera, Manuel Llibre Otero, Iván Méndez, Jesús Micó, Tanit Plana, César Pineda, Patricia Pou, Manuel Pujols, Ricardo Rodríguez, Rafael Sánchez Cernuda, Jan Smith, Miguel Trillo, Jesús Ubera, Augusto Valdivia, José Alfredo Victoria, Héctor Vilorio, and Manfred Vollmer, among many others.
