The Antigua & Barbuda International Literary Festival (originally known as the Caribbean International Literary Festival) will be held November 4-6, 2010. Among the leading authors to attend this year is African-American actress and author Pam Grier, who will be talking about her new book, the memoir Foxy: My Life in Three Acts. In addition, she will take part in a discussion of her book and a book signing on November 6.
Among the other authors who are participating in the Festival are Trinidadian novelist Elizabeth Nunez, Guyanese poet Grace Nichols, Guyanese children’s author John Agard, Belize novelist Zee Edgell, Antiguan authors Marie Elena John and Joanne Hillhouse, and Jamaican poet Lorna Goodison. Activities during the Festival include a Children’s Reading Convocation for primary school students, the traditional Youth Day for secondary school students, and workshops open to the public.
