The Dominican Republic’s Heroes of May 30 Foundation has filed civil libel suit in a National District Court against Angelita Trujillo, daughter of the late dictator Rafael Trujillo, according to an announcement by its lawyer, Laura Acosta. She said the Foundation seeks 350 million pesos in damages through a defamation suit filed in the First Penal Chamber, for slander against the May 30 heroes in Angelita Trujillo’s book, “Trujillo, mi padre en mis memorias” (Trujillo, my father in my memories). “This book tries to insult and stain the honor and dignity of those who opposed her father’s dictatorship, as well as to stain the historical memory of the Dominican nation,” Acosta said.

I’ve learned something similar on this site, but I just don’t know. I think with Suing for Slander it can be a different issue all together. Thanks for your info 🙂
