Presentation of Praises and Offenses: Women Poets from the Dominican Republic

Poets House presents the presentation of poetry collection Praises and Offenses: Women Poets from the Dominican Republic [also see previous post New Book: Praises & Offenses, Three Women Poets from the Dominican Republic, which includes poetry by the late Aída Cartagena Portalatín (1918-1994),Ylonka Nacidit-Perdomo, and Angela Hernández Núñez. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 7:00pm. Poet’s House is located at 10 River Terrace, in Battery Park City, New York. $10, $7 for students and seniors, free to Poets House Members.  

Dominican poets Ylonka Nacidit-Perdomo and Angela Hernández Núñez will be joined by their English-language translator, Judith Kerman, and scholar Linda M. Rodriguez Guglielmoni for a reading and conversation.
