Crusa Lama/Crossing the Seas– International Literary Festival

The Biblioteca Nacional Aruba [National Library of Aruba], with the Charuba Editorial Foundation and Stichting Winternachten, presents the International Literary Festival “Crusa Lama” [Crossing the Seas] to be held on April  18, 2010, at 7pm at Hardin Arubiana/Caribiana, National Library of Aruba, Bachstraat 5, Oranjestad, Aruba.

Under the theme “A Sense of Belonging,” the literary festival will bring together 13 writers and poets from 5 countries Aruba, Lebanon, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Somalia—in a special program where they will recite poetry and read from their work. The program includes performances by Aruban writers Belinda de Veer, Luciano Milliard, and Caresse Isings. The international writers will present their work in their own languages while translations will be projected on a large screen in Papiamento and English.

  1. Could you supply a jpg of artist Belinda de Veer or her work for use in my book, Caribbean Women’s Art, along with permission to publish?
