Puerto Rican singer Danny Rivera its planning to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the start of his musical career at a concert at Carnegie Hall scheduled for May 6th. He will share the stage with Mexican singer Marco Antonio Muñiz and Dominican pianist Michel Camilo.
“Recuerdos,” Rivera’s 4th concert at the famous New York venue, where he performed for the first time in 1979 and subsequently in 1989 and 1999. Tickets are already on sale through the Carnegie Hall website.
Danny Rivera, with more than 60 records released and four Grammy nominations, started his career in his native Puerto Rico in the 1960s. A longtime supporter of Puerto Rican independence from the United States, he is now a naturalized citizen of the Dominican Republic.
