Revista Internacional de Lingüística Iberoamericana [The International Journal of Ibero-American Linguistics] (RILI) has just begun distribution of its latest issue, Number 14. This issue contains a special thematic section on Spanish in the Caribbean, edited by Armin Schwegler (with Lili Lebenzon).

This issue, which is dedicated to leading Cuban linguist Vicente Jesús Figueroa Arencibia (1955-2009), includes articles on sub-dialects of Caribbean Spanish in Venezuela and regional identity; Cuban Spanish discourse in Miami, Florida; Dominican Spanish in rural Cibao; Spanish in the Colombian Caribbean; linguistic variations of Spanish in Cuba; and linguistic structures and word order in Caribbean Spanish.
