The National Museum and Art Gallery in collaboration with TUCO and the Carnival Institute presents “Sans Humanité,” a calypso exhibition in celebration of Calypso History Month 2009. This event was launched on Thursday, October 15, at the National Museum on Frederick Street, Port of Spain. The exhibition will open until June of 2010. These institutions have partnered on this project in order to safeguard and preserve one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most important forms of intangible cultural heritage, the Calypso, its history and traditions.

The exhibit is part of the larger long-term plan of the Museum to redesign and modernize all of its exhibition spaces. Members of the public are encouraged to join the Ministry of Community Development, Culture and Gender Affairs in celebrating Calypso History Month.
