The 5th “Giratorio” Experimental Art and Music Festival will take place on October 17, 2009, from 1:00-10:00pm at Sala de las Artes Auditorium at the Sacred Heart University in Santurce, Puerto Rico. Sponsored by the Master’s Program in Media and Contemporary Culture and the Giratoriodekspresión group, the festival, which has been called a multisensory experience, is dedicated to independent experimental/vanguard music in Puerto Rico.
The festival will feature samplings of independent rock, post rock, electronic music, jazz and folk, post punk, sound experimentation projects and “noise.” It will also include video art projections curated by artist Ralph Vázquez and other collaborators. The performers represented will include Campo Fornio, Cornucopia, El Imperio Invisible, Harry Rag, Brenda Hopkins, JCS (Tach.dé Project), Janielsabe, Los Convertibles, Murmuro, Matotumba, Pneuma, Puntito Siniestro, Shhh, Similar, Sketch, Un.real, and Van Valentine, among others.
The organizers suggest a $5 donation.
