Harry Belafonte and Danny Glover in Cuba


UNICEF Good Will Ambassadors Harry Belafonte and Danny Glover inaugurated on Friday the Havana office of the Festival of Caribbean Cinema. The opening of a venue of this project that includes traveling Caribbean film showcases dedicated to children and adolescents received strong support that will allow the further expansion of the initiative, which has already reached 31 countries in the area. Cuban Minister of Culture Abel Prieto, who attended the inauguration of the office, highlighted the talent and ethical values of the two U.S.-based artists. He stressed that both artists have paid high price for their solidarity.

  2. Harry Belafonte is not the king of calypso, calypso and soca music started in the little caribbean island of trinidad and tobago long long before Harry belafonte was born there fore he introduced calypso into the american main stream
