‘Hawk’ Finlayson To Release New Book On Bahamas Track and Field

Bahamian sports historian Alpheus “Hawk” Finlayson will be launching his new book, From Vancouver to Athens (Fifty Years of Bahamian International Track and Field Competition) 1954-2004, a history of Bahamian track and field that focuses on how the island’s athletes have fared at international competition over the last 50 years. The launch will take place at the National Arts Gallery on West Hill Street at 7:30pm on the 28th.

Finlayson hopes that with the book “children in primary school, high schools, coaches, teachers, everybody in The Bahamas interested in track and field can know where we have come from where we are now, and the potential for the future.”
